This September, put on your sneakers and join Polaris Project as we embark upon the 2012 DC Stop Modern Slavery Walk! Enjoy this unique opportunity to walk alongside Polaris staff, friends, and supporters who share your passion for curbing human trafficking abuses.
More and more, we are hearing about new human trafficking cases being uncovered across the country. We are pleased to see increased awareness around this issue, but this groundswell of interest demands even greater attention and resources to ensure that we can fully eradicate human trafficking.
The 2012 DC SMS Walk is exciting, because it is a chance for activists to unite as a community and to collaborate in a tangible way. We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and colleagues to join our team, or to support our team.
The walk will take place in the heart of our nation’s capital, at the National Mall, near the Washington Monument, beginning at Constitution Avenue N.W. and 15th St N.W., Washington D.C. Pre-register today, by clicking here.
Be sure to follow us on Twitter, (@Polaris_Project), using the topic #SMSWalk, and share walk updates and photos using Facebook.
If you’re unable to make the walk, every dollar counts in this worthy cause. You can stomp out slavery from the sidelines, by making a donation today. Thank you for your continued dedication to this fight, and we hope to see you in September!

I live in NY but because I’m such a huge supporter of the Polaris Project I’m really thinking about heading down there for this walk, road trip! What’s the date of the walk?
We’d love to see you there on September 29, 2012!
