We’re unleashing a new series on the North Star Blog: Tip Tuesday. Each Tuesday for the next few months, we will write about different types of human trafficking in the United States. We hope that you’ll tune in to learn the signs of these types of trafficking.
The more you learn, the more trained eyes and ears there will be out on the streets to report human trafficking to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline (1-888-373-7888).
Learn from different Polaris Project staff members about the following types of trafficking:
- Domestic Work
- Nail Salons
- Traveling Sales Crews
- Agriculture & Human Trafficking
- Restaurants
- Exchange Visitors
- Truck Stop Trafficking
- Hostess and Strip Clubs
- Latino Residential Brothels
- Peddling and Begging Rings
- Hospitality Industry
- Cantina Bars
- Hair Braiding Salons
Each blog will give you signs and indicators to look for. If you ever suspect an instance of trafficking we ask that you contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 1-888-3737-888 or NHTRC@PolarisProject.org.
